Sons and Daughters in Formation

As we step deeper into the season leading to 2026, there is a prophetic call resounding across the earth: sons and daughters are in formation. Heaven is preparing God’s people for a divine unveiling, and the shaking we see around us is not random—it is strategic. Romans 8:19 declares that creation is groaning for the manifestation of the sons of God. This groaning is not just a cry for deliverance; it is an urgent anticipation for a mature, purified, and obedient generation that will govern righteously and carry the glory of the Kingdom into every sphere of society.

This is a season of preparation, refinement, and alignment. The Lord is raising up His children—not to be hidden but to be revealed at the appointed time. Yet, revelation without formation leads to destruction. That is why this season is a training ground, a season of becoming before the season of revealing.

The Groaning of Creation

When Paul wrote to the Romans, he painted a picture of the earth in travail, waiting for the sons of God to step into their rightful place. This groaning is evident now more than ever—wars shaking nations, economic systems collapsing, moral foundations eroding, and the voices of confusion and compromise growing louder.

The instability we see is not just the result of human failure; it is the earth itself calling forth divine order. The Kingdom is the answer, and God is raising His sons and daughters to bring His rule, His culture, and His presence into systems that have long been corrupted.

Formation Through Process

God does not anoint without process. David was anointed as king in the fields, but it took years of training, testing, and wilderness seasons before he took the throne. Likewise, Joseph was given dreams of leadership but endured betrayal, slavery, and prison before stepping into the palace.

This is what 2026 signifies for many: a season of formation through fire. God is not in a hurry to release those He is not finished forming. He is testing motives, refining character, and deepening intimacy with Him.

The sons and daughters rising in this hour will not be built on charisma but on character. They will understand that authority in the Kingdom is rooted in obedience and yieldedness, not ambition. This is why the trials of this season should not be despised—they are the very tools shaping your readiness for the next level.

Governance and Kingdom Identity

To govern well, you must first know who you are. Sons and daughters of God are not beggars; they are heirs. Galatians 4:7 reminds us: “So you are no longer a slave, but God’s child; and since you are his child, God has made you also an heir.”

This shift in identity is critical. Many believers have been stuck in survival mode, living like orphans, unsure of their Father’s goodness and their rightful inheritance in Christ. But in this season, God is breaking the orphan spirit and raising a generation confident in their identity as sons and daughters of the King.

From that place of identity comes authority. You cannot bring order to chaos if you are still uncertain of who you are in Christ. The formation of this generation is not just about personal growth; it is about preparing you to carry the weight of governance in families, businesses, industries, and nations.

Priests and Kings in the Making

Revelation 1:6 declares that Jesus has made us “a kingdom and priests to serve his God and Father.” Sons and daughters are being trained as both priests—intimate with God, carriers of His presence—and kings—leaders who rule with wisdom, justice, and courage.

The priestly dimension keeps us grounded in humility and dependence on the Spirit, while the kingly dimension positions us to establish righteous influence in the earth. The world does not need more noise or empty titles; it needs leaders who carry heaven’s blueprint and heaven’s authority.

The Cost of Formation

Formation is costly. It requires surrender, discipline, and a willingness to yield when the refining fire feels overwhelming. God will strip away everything that is not of Him—selfish ambition, pride, compromise, and hidden sins.

This process can feel like pruning, but John 15:2 reminds us: “Every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit.” The pruning is not punishment; it is preparation for greater fruitfulness.

If you feel pressed in this season, know this: God is not crushing you to destroy you. He is pressing you to release the oil needed for the assignments ahead.

Emerging Ready

When the sons and daughters come out of this season of formation, they will not look like the systems of the world. They will be bold but humble, strong yet surrendered, walking in supernatural wisdom and discernment. They will carry solutions that governments cannot manufacture, innovation that industries cannot replicate, and authority that only heaven can confer.

2026 is not just about enduring the shaking; it is about arising from it refined, ready, and fully aligned with the King’s heart. The revealing of the sons and daughters is not for personal recognition but for the advancement of the Kingdom and the glory of God in the earth.

Your Response in This Season

This is your moment to embrace the process, to lean into intimacy with the Father, and to allow the Spirit to shape you from the inside out. Stay rooted in prayer, grounded in the Word, and connected to a community that sharpens and aligns you.

Romans 8:14 reminds us, “For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God.” Let your steps be Spirit-led in every decision, every assignment, and every transition.

The groaning of creation will not stop until the sons and daughters of God arise. This is not a season to shrink back or settle for survival. This is a season to yield, to grow, and to prepare for the unveiling that is coming.

God is forming you—patiently, intentionally, and thoroughly—because the weight of the glory you are about to carry requires a foundation that will not crumble. Submit to the process, and when the time of revealing comes, you will step forward not just as a believer but as a son or daughter of the King, ready to govern and bring heaven to earth.
