“Return to Me, and I will return to you,” says the LORD Almighty. – Zechariah 1:3
As the spiritual calendar shifts with Rosh Hashanah 5786, the Lord is declaring this new year as “The Year of Returning Home.” This is not merely a sentimental call to come closer to Him but a clarion trumpet announcing the urgency to step out of compromise, lukewarmness, and self-sufficiency, and to return to the heartbeat of the Father.
This prophetic moment is a divine invitation and a warning: the shaking of nations is already here, and only those anchored in the Kingdom principles of holiness, obedience, and intimacy will remain unshaken.
1. The Call to Return
The Spirit of God is crying out, “Come back to Me. Return to your first love.”
Like the prodigal son in Luke 15, many have wandered into foreign lands, consumed by busyness, distracted by worldly systems, or deceived by the illusion of control. But the Father, with arms wide open, is calling His sons and daughters to come home.
Zechariah 1:3 echoes like a trumpet:
“Return to Me, and I will return to you.”
This is a year of alignment, where the Lord is exposing every idol and every false foundation so His people can find their identity and security in Him alone.
2. Returning to Prayer
Prayer is no longer optional in this season, it is the lifeline of the remnant.
The Lord is saying, “Rebuild the altar.” Like Elijah on Mount Carmel (1 Kings 18:30), God is calling His people to repair the broken places of intimacy, to create space for Him in the secret place.
Prayer in this era is not about routine or religious obligation. It is about learning to hear the frequency of Heaven, to receive instructions, strategies, and strength for what is coming. The shaking of 2026 will demand clarity that only intimacy with God can provide.
3. Returning to Purity
Purity will be the currency of authority in this next season.
The systems of Babylon, greed, corruption, lust, deception, are being judged. Those who have built their lives or ministries on compromise will find their structures collapsing under the weight of divine justice.
The Lord is cleansing His bride (Ephesians 5:27) and raising up a generation of pure-hearted leaders who are committed to righteousness. Purity is not perfection; it is undivided devotion. Those who choose holiness in this season will carry unprecedented power and favor.
4. Returning to Kingdom Principles
God is also calling His people to re-align with the laws and principles of His Kingdom.
The Babylonian system operates on control, manipulation, and fear, but the Kingdom of God operates on faith, obedience, and stewardship.
In Matthew 6:33, Jesus declared:
“Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”
This is the year to unlearn the systems of the world and relearn Heaven’s economy, sowing, reaping, generosity, and radical dependence on God’s provision. Businesses, churches, and governments that will thrive in the coming shaking will be those built upon Kingdom algorithms.
5. Alignment Unlocks Protection and Provision
In the turbulence ahead, alignment will be the key to safety and provision.
When Noah obeyed and built the ark, his family was preserved (Genesis 6:22). When Joseph aligned with God in Egypt, he became the steward of provision in the time of famine (Genesis 41:39-41).
In the same way, the Lord is positioning His remnant to become Josephs and Noahs of this era, leaders, innovators, and intercessors who will steward resources, wisdom, and influence to preserve nations.
6. A Warning and a Promise
This call to return carries both a warning and a promise.
The warning is clear: judgment is coming to every Babylonian structure, in economies, governments, and even churches that have bowed to compromise. What is not built on Christ will not stand.
But the promise is greater: those who return and align will experience divine acceleration, supernatural provision, and Kingdom authority to lead in times of shaking.
7. The Remnant Will Arise
This year, God is raising a remnant, a company of believers who will not bow to Babylon. They are being trained to govern with wisdom, to speak with prophetic clarity, and to operate in the supernatural.
As Romans 8:19 declares:
“The creation waits in eager expectation for the sons of God to be revealed.”
This revealing begins with a return to the Father’s heart. It is in intimacy that identity is restored, and from identity, authority is released.
8. Preparing for the Years Ahead
From 2026 to 2030, the earth will enter a season of intensified shaking, economically, politically, and even environmentally. These years will be a training ground, a rehearsal for the sons and daughters of God to learn how to function fully in His Kingdom system.
The Babylonian agenda, including the World Economic Forum’s 2030 plan that seeks to centralize control and redefine ownership, will not stand against the authority of a Kingdom-aligned Church.
Now is the time to build according to Heaven’s blueprint, to embrace Kingdom systems, and to learn how to apply His principles in every sphere, personal life, business, governance, and economics.
9. The Invitation
The trumpet is sounding: Return. Align. Prepare.
This is the year to return home, to prayer, to purity, to Kingdom living. The shaking ahead is not designed to destroy you but to position you for greater influence and impact.
The Father is saying:
“If you return to Me, I will return to you. If you align with My ways, I will establish you. If you trust in My Kingdom, I will cause you to rise when everything else falls.”
As we cross into this prophetic year, let us echo the cry of Joshua:
“As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” (Joshua 24:15)
The year of returning home is here. Those who heed the call will not just survive the shaking, they will thrive and lead, becoming living testimonies of the unshakable Kingdom of God.
